Bullets
- No family dinner today. Heir Apparent had a football game. They lost. Dang it Seahawks
- My client had surgery this week. They got clear margins. Now for treatment.
- The Little's are settling into school. They seem to be doing well.
- The need for jobs is great.
- I also might need an attitude adjustment. Maybe.
- The sun has been out most of this week. It has been beautiful. I hope it lasts long enough that I get to can another batch of tomatoes.
- I need new shoes and Monkey needs a coat.
- Dh's mom is doing well and feels much better now. It's such a relief to him.
- Well that's all that was on my mind today. I hope you have a blessed week.
Peace

Sunday dinner
Today we had our normal family dinner. Roommate had to work later and Heir apparent needed to have dinner a bit earlier so Roommate didn't get to come. Heir apparent and Mindy came and Rescue Rita had stopped by - she's been on vacation - and had a birthday present for Bugs. I finally got her to sit down and eat with us.
Heir had asked for spaghetti so that was on the menu. And T2 had asked for a cobbler. So today was a day from scratch. I made the spaghetti from my own tomato sauce that I had made. Then we had cucumbers and tomatoes from our garden in our salad. then I made garlic bread. Bet you thought I was going to say I made that too. Well I sort of did. I put the butter and garlic on the bread and baked it until it was done. :) but I didn't make the bread. Earlier I had made a cobbler from the apple pie filling I had canned earlier this summer. I took a vote and the biscuit top won over the crisp top. Dh does not like Cool whip so our deal is I will buy heavy cream if he will whip it up. So after dinner Dh whipped the cream and I took the still warm cobbler out of the oven and we had dessert. It was sooooo good! Rescue Rita and Mindy almost licked their plates. It was funny! I sent the last of dinner home to Roommate but no dessert. We have had burgers and or dogs almost every Sunday all Summer long. It was nice to cook something else for everyone. I am sure we will grill again, it's just to long of a Winter to not.
I would like everyone to guess what Rescue Rita brought Bugs for his birthday. I do not know if I have done something to make her hate me or what. She bought him a worm farm. A WORM FARM! She thinks she's soooo funny and clever. The Bug boy was OVER THE MOON! He has asked for a ant farm and I'm very glad she didn't do that! You layer this colored sand on top of layers of dirt. It makes it so you can see the trails the worms make and I quote from the book It makes the worms poop in techno color. Isn't that just special?!?!?
I hope everyone has a blessed week.
May all YOUR worms poop in techno color!

Tuesday
T2 and I were trying to get a good picture of the 3 dogs. This is the comedic pictures of that endeavor. It didn't work. We gave up. It was funny trying though.
Angel was lounging in the pear box that has been long empty. Funny girl.
I started this the other day it's been cooking down. Tomato sauce.
And tonight the finished product. We still have LOTS of tomatoes in the garden and nice days coming. I hope to get at least 2 more batches of sauce made.

Bug's 11
Bugs was born on Sept 14, 1998. On Sept. 10Th my aunt called me and told me I had 12 hours to have him on my Uncle's birthday. We had a good laugh over that. Little did she know we had a surprise for him! When we first announced we were pregnant my Uncle laughed and said you should name him after me! So when it came time to name him I asked Dh to pick a L name that went with Emery. We told everyone he was Elvis. When Lane was born I looked at Dh and said name your son. He said Lane Emery. Everyone was shocked. My mom knew right away who he was named after and she got to call my aunt and let them know.

Bug's party.
We put the cart before the horse a little today. Bug's birthday is tomorrow but we had his little party today. It worked for us because of school. He had his friends over last night for a sleep over and then they were here today. They always have fun together. I cannot believe this precious boy is 11 tomorrow. I'll write all about him tomorrow. Here's some pictures from today.

A long came a spider
Today I had to work. I don't normally but Monday was a holiday so I had to make it up. Today's client is a 86 year old women. I love her to death. I went to the bathroom to get out my supplies and to gather the garbage. She had missed the trash can with a tissue and I grabbed it out of the bucket it had landed in and underneath it was the BIGGEST spider I have ever seen. It was half the size of my palm. NO KIDDING. It looked MEAN. I stepped back and said SHIT! Then gasped because I swore at a clients. I stood and pondered the situation for a moment then grabbed the bucket and flipped it up and into the toilet and banged it on the side as it went to make sure he went into the toilet and then flushed! Then I stood there and gathered my wits and headed with the garbage. I stopped at the bedroom and stripped the bed and would you not know it there was a HUGE spider bedside the bed. But it was dead. I just shuddered and went on to the laundry to start the sheets. Then I went back to the bathroom to clean it. I FULLY expected to see that spider sitting on the edge of the toilet seat shaking the water off of it like a dog. I walked over to the toilet and flushed it again just to make sure it wouldn't. I went on about my cleaning. Finished the bathroom switched the sheets to the dryer and finished the bedroom - changing sheets, (dusting and vacuuming. Then as I walked back down the hall to the closet and OMW there was the mama spider(not quite as big but BIG) looking for Big Papa and I had flushed him! I just grabbed the vacuum hose and sucked her up! By then I was shaking and couldn't believe it. I had visions of her gasping and choking and holding her throat in the vacuum canister. Then the rest of the time I was jumpy and thought I saw spider's every where I was cleaning and when I moved her furniture. It was not funny! I don't know if that means it's a long cold Winter coming or what but man today was freaky at work.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Monkey's First day of school
Today was Monkey's first day of kindergarten. He was a little nervous this morning before we even headed out. We got off to a good start.
Starting to happy up a little.
Finding his name on a table.

Finding his name on a table.
Name tag is on.
Just before all hell broke loose!
A mom brought her non English speaking son in and left. He knew not one word and starting sobbing! By doing that he set off a train wreck. The other kids just KNEW he knew something they didn't and half the kids started crying. Monkey did and then I started. A T.A. came and sat with him after we wiped tears (not just mine) and Dh and I left but stood outside where we could see and before we left he had stopped crying and picked up his crayons.
