Nasty Boys

Today on my day "off" I finally convinced myself I HAD to clean Bug's room. I REALLY should have done it in January when I wanted to. 2 count them TWO large garbage bags of CRAP out of that boys room. He is the WORST hoarder. I was on to the second bag and DH came home and said OH NO WHAT'S THIS???? and he pulled something out of the garbage bag. Bugs wanted this!!!!! I said in an UGLY voice "DROP IT" It's GARBAGE! Want to know what it was? A pinata that he brought home from a birthday party LAST YEAR! A USED PINATA! Why would he think he needed this? Because boys are nasty! Hours later, room clean and dusted, clean sheets and blankets then I cleaned the carpets then said DONE! So when Bugs came home from his friends I said it's done and you may NOT look in the garbage bags as his dad was taking them out. Bugs looked at his room and said" wow looks really nice. Almost as nice as when I clean it". OH SON! NOT! But whatever blows his skirt up. It's done I feel accomplished and one more room gutted off my list! When someone is here and I can tie a rope around my waist and if I don't come out some one can pull me out I may tackle the bat cave. It smells like butt in there. Until then I just tell Skater Dude to keep his door shut! Boys are smelly. That wonderful warm baby smell turns into something that smells like a warm birds nest then to dirty feet and worse. Well I hope your boys aren't as smelly as mine. Peace

This is the whole fam damily on my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. (2007) We had such a good day.
Mom and dad, 4 of 5 kids and spouses and a whole bunch of grandkids. Most from your's truly!




When I started this blog I was trying to protect my family's privacy just a tad, so Thing 1 and Thing 2 were thought of on the fly, Everyone else's name is relevant to them. So upon further review I have renamed Thing 1 as Heir Apparent and Thing 2 and Drummer boy.

The sun came out and my friend and I went walking today. It was so nice. We used to walk every day at 10 pm. Life has happened to both of us but we have promised to make it a goal again. We both love to walk late at night and blow the day off. I miss it. BUT I am a fair weather walker and do not like walking in the rain. That limits us a bit this time of year doesn't it. Heir apparent came and worked in the garden today. He found some carrots and they were still crispy. Monkey was "Helping" him. I'll show you how he helps.

21 years ago Tyler came into the world weighing 9lbs 14 oz. I KNEW he was a boy the whole time so I was not surprised. T2 was painfully shy until way after he started school. He ISN'T now. He also doesn't weigh 9 lbs any more. He is the tallest of our guys. Happy Birthday Son!

Thankful Thursday

I am VERY thankful for hot water. When I drag myself out of bed at O dark 30 and wonder into a hot shower it's the BEST. I am so thankful I just have to turn on a faucet and not light a fire and heat the water first.

Tonight Bugs had an All City Concert. 11 elementary schools. They did such a good job. It was at the high school so it wasn't too crowded. Peace

Sunday

It was a quiet lovely day. It POURED for a short time then was beautiful and sunny. I had the window open for a while. We had family dinner today. Thing 1 and his friend came. His roommate had to work. The friend fell a few weeks ago and broke her arm and had surgery. It still looks very painful to me. She's in school to be a massage therapist so she's out of commission for a bit. Bugs and Monkey get so excited when Thing 1 comes home. They just love their big brothers.
There really isn't much new news so I guess that's the start of our week. I hope yours is lovely. Peace

Project 365

For the last 2 years I have done Project 365. I LOVED doing this. I decided for several reason's to not do it this year. I suggest Googling Project 365 and consider doing it. I know lots of us say oh we take LOTS of pictures. I know, but this is a way to document a whole year, one day at a time. Anyway, all that to say today I saw something that would totally have made my album for March. The pictures don't do it justice but trust me it was funny!

Thankful Thursday

I know I'm a bit early but I am thankful for Spring. (It's about 5 hours away) Winter is necessary and at times beautiful but I am ready and enjoy our bits of green and the blooms that are here already. I love the feeling of a promise kept that Winter won't last forever. I love looking at seed packets for our garden and thinking if I need new flowers or not. If I should take the roses out, what would I put where they are.. DH likes the roses, I do not...... Those are the nice kinds of worries. Peace

Well it IS Tuesday...

Today was very quiet. I worked at the Mansion. BEAUTIFUL home, marble tile floor - HATE THEM!!!!!! Just saying. Dh's alternator went out on his truck this morning. I HATE car trouble. Well that's not true, it's not so much the car problems that bug me it's the FIXING of them that I don't like. Dh had a job in Seattle so he took the Garmen - Carmen's Garmen, hehehehe You would have had to have been there! He even programed it and everything. He is not a computer guy or gadget guy. He has a good grasp on his cell which if you know him you know is HUGE! So it took him right to his job and he was so very tickled. He said if you didn't know this house was there you would never see it. Yeah for working - even if it is in Seattle. Peace

Well.. When Bugs went down to bed he found his little bird had died. It's not a good night at our house! We had a cockatiel for years, 2 years ago I gave it to my niece. We did NOT miss it. Then last summer our neighbors came over and got Bugs and a cage to come catch a paraket that had landed in their yard. They did this without asking me first mind you. Then when it was caught they GAVE it to him. He's such a critter guy. So we know nothing of how old or anything and it was dead tonight. Tomorrow there will be a funeral. No more birds! RIP Tweety 2009.

Note to self...... do not talk to your DH about the "jackass neighbor" when you have a small person listening. Mama, who's a jackass neighbor? Oops.

Sunny Sunday

It was sooo beautiful today. It started out snowing/raining then the SUN! We had wind warnings and lots of blowing branches but the sun was OUT! It was beautiful.
DH and Bugs went to the library to get new books and then Bugs needed shoes. DH and I went and got groceries. Note to self... do NOT go to Winco on Sunday! Groceries were procured without fuss though. Then after dinner and after Amazing Race my friend called and asked if I could pop over to her house for a small moment as she had something for Monkey and she wanted him to have it. I looked all over for my keys and could NOT find them. I rarely miss place my keys REALLY RARELY. I know how to pop my ignition without keys so I zipped over to Paula's then came on home and still could not find my keys anywhere. DH and tore up the kitchen and I looked through my purse about a zillion times. I carry a small purse. DH finally took a flashlight out to look in the grass and under the seats of my van to see if I had dropped them there instead of down into my purse. As he was going out to my van he went to his truck to get his glasses out and when he pulled his keys out of his pocket he pulled out MY keys. He has no memory of ever picking them up. OH I was not impressed! I was sick to my stomach. I do not loose my keys. He does his on a daily basis and they are always in the same place! Dork. He did smile sheepishly and said he was sorry. Sigh.... Oh well at least I have my keys. The one good thing is I have 2 sets of keys, one is my personal ones - van, house, mail. The other ring is my work set so I had all my houses.. whew! If I ever loose that set I'm in deep doodoo! All's well that ends well. Peace

Saturday

Thursday night Bugs was staying with a friend (no school on Friday) and at 3:30 AM the mom called to let me know Bugs was throwing up and could she bring him home? I paused (don't judge me!) for a very small moment wanting to tell her No, he's already sick at your house you keep him. But alas I said Oh yes bring my poor lil baby home! I met her at the door, saw Bugs to bed and went back to bed myself. Yesterday and today he's been very quiet and really still so I know he didn't feel well. Tonight he's WAY better. :-) It has been rainy and dark all day. The last of the snow is gone and I know my bulbs and plants love the rain, Spring is coming! Today I will admit I didn't even get dressed. :D My favorite thing to do is to shower and put on a clean nightie. lol I cleaned most of my house yesterday and since today was icky out I just was comfy all day. I hope you all had a good day. Peace

Thankful Thursday

I'm just going to start with my family. I am thankful for each and everyone of them. They are each my favorite for different reason's. They all make up our family and the family would not be complete without each and everyone of us.
I miss terribly those who've gone and those who weren't ours to keep. I wish we could all be together more often. I wish we lived closer so that was possible. I hope we all take the time to cherish those we love and to never miss an opportunity to let them know it. I must be feeling a bit verklempt today. :-) Peace

It's starting to be funny

We woke up to snow this morning and then it snowed off and on all day. And guess what it's suppose to do tomorrow too? Isn't it beautiful? NOT But it is starting to be funny. I just feel bad for my flowers that are blooming. I bet they didn't see this coming.

Yesterday the boys minus T2 plus neighbor boy and me went down to Roy to see my dad where he was helping my cousin with a septic system. We saw it all Rain, sleet, hail and sunshine all in a 75 mile radius. My cousin raises dogs and she had 3 chi puppies that I could have stuffed any of the 3 in my coat. The one I liked most is the one Bugs is holding. A very sweet little boy.
