I had a date!

Just a quick update for the last few days. It was drop dead gorgeous today!  I wore no jacket!
I went and applied for a passport today.  I'm going to need it!  I'm also hoping it opens the door for some great adventures.
Monkey reading to Scout before bed.  He LOVES to read.  I love that I passed that on to several of my boys.

Today, the view from my deck.  It was warm out.  As I was coming home from errands I saw a neighbor mowing his lawn.  He MIGHT be pushing it.  It is still pretty soggy from months of rain.

A crocus

In the grass.  So sweet!

I had to go to Costco this after noon and invited my Monkey to go with.  He loves it there.  He always has a hot dog and a very berry sundae before we go.  He's a pretty cheap date!

Finishing his hot dog.  I think I got all the mustard off his face.

I asked him to come stand by me.  He photo bombed us!  Then got the giggles because I didn't know it until I looked at the picture.

A good one of us.  He's such a sweetie.

Have a great weekend!

Weekend Update

This weekend was my time to scrapbook.  I am working on my LIW trip.  I ran out of printed pictures so thats my goal before next month.  I am already into the second book.  I have a feeling it's going to be 3 albums.  Well, IT was a trip of a lifetime.

A wonderful group of crafty ladies!

The other day I saw these crocus's popping up in my yard.  Made me so happy.

This morning they are blooming!  So pretty.

Today my lovely daughter in law had dinner for us at her house to give me a break.  It was so sweet.  I really appreciate her thoughtfulness.
This is what we found when we got there.  Drummer napping and Bella gaurding him.

Heir and Buster and Heir's friend.  She seems to like us but is very quiet.

Skater aka Duck Dynasty..

Princess doing hula for me.

Our ink all healed up!  MUCH better.

Thank you so much Heather for dinner!
That was our day in a nutshell....
Have a blessed week.

Brotherly Love

My brother is very talented.  Last year I made a flippant remark to him and he listened and made me something...  My pictures are at the bottom.  Anyway....  My dad had to deliver some meat this week and he brought a surprise for my sister and her partner.  We waited with excitement for them to get here.  The first 2 pictures are in the wrong order and they won't stay changed... so anyway...  My brother Steve made each of us girls a handmade chest.  They are beautiful and smell wonderful! What a wonderful thoughtful gift he gave us.

Chrissy looking in hers.

My niece and Chrissy and Wendy waiting to see what is under the blankets!

The girls and their trunks.

Chrissy started crying here....

Then I flipped it over to see what he wrote to her, then she really started to cry.

Then when I did the same to Wendy's we all were crying.  Hers is signed too, it's #9.

The fronts.

I didn't post about mine when I got it.  I asked for mine for my scrapbooks.
I should have just let Steve pick the size, it's almost full already.

The front of mine.  They are so beautiful and I am every so thankful!
Thanks Steve!

Pressing Question

Why is bra a singular word when we have 2 boobs and why is panties plural when we only have one yoni?  Just curious.

Weekend update

This week seems to have flown by.  Bugs got a hair cute, a MUCH needed haircut.  I had the grand kids on Friday for a while.  My sister and her family came over for the day.  We had a yummy dinner and played a new to them game and I made them go walking with me.  It was good day.  We went into the Super Bowl not caring who won but by the end we did and were happy with the results.

Bugs "before"

Bugs "After"  Much better!

Monkey and Wendy and Chrissy playing Pente.  The little bugger actually won once.  He really got the goal of the game.

I had to make jam today.  This bowl had 10 cups of sugar in it when I sat it on the stove and turned the wrong burner on.  I about cried!  Wendy helped me clean it up and salvage what we could of the sugar and I finished the jam.  Only me....sigh

On Friday when I had the kids Princess came in wearing her last years Easter dress.  One cannot be over dressed! She loves to dress up.

Blogger won't change these around and I just don't have it in me to fight with them any more... Wendy and Chrissy and I playing Pente.  I think this was one of the ones I won.  It really is a fun game.

Princess and Buster.  The cutest kids I know!
I hope you have  a blessed week.
