Spring in the PNW

Blogger hates me. It will not upload pictures tonight. We are having a very bad storm and I'm not sure it has stopped raining in 24 hours. It is flooding all around us. On the way to work today I pass a smallish stream. It looked Spring high but not flooding, 6 hours later when I drove back by it, it was FLOODED! There is standing water every where. The ones that I don't understand are the people who live in the flood plains and are flooded out every year and they just keep rebuilding. The 2 places I just don't think I would buy a house at are 1) flood plains and 2) perched on a hill side. Every year homes slide down them here and everyone is SHOCKED! Seriously? We live in the rain forest and when you take the plants that protect the hill and perch a house on it, I just don't think you can be surprised when the house slides off! Oh well I had some pretty cool pictures. I hope you can stay dry where your at! Peace

T2's Birthday

I have tried for 2 days to get Blogger ( I almost wrote Booger) to upload these pictures. I was on the edge of pitching the computer. I hate feeling like that. Yesterday T2 turned 23! I don't know how that is possible! We celebrated his birthday on Sunday at our Family dinner. It was good to see everyone, we hadn't been together in a few weeks. *EDIT NOW I'm really mad, I've fixed this 5 times and BOOGER keeps messing with my format! NOT IMPRESSED! T2 and Princess play My Little Ponies. :) Walker and Scout. She LOVES him outside to snuggle with, but barks at him when he comes in. She's rotten. T2 had asked for an ice cream cake without any cake. Dairy Queen had the best deal and it was DELICIOUS! Buster and Princess playing nicely! Peace

Boys are funny!

I'm a very bad Nana! Princess had a tiny barrette in her hair and it came out. I grabbed Buster and put it in his hair! LOL He was so cute! It was a good thing his daddy didn't see him. And since he missed it I had to take his picture! HA! He looks like his sister.

Buster
Boys are WEIRD!
Today while I was mopping at work I happened to look up and on the fridge was a cookie cutter type person cut out of thick paper with different noodles glued to it. A preschool craft. As I was standing there looking at it I realized it had a penne noodle glued where the penis would be on a boy. I started laughing and hollered "M" can you come here a moment please?" M came up and I pointed and said "Did J put a penis on his guy?" She started laughing and said I asked him the same thing! He said Yes I did! We were both laughing. It just goes to show you guys are always worried about their STUFF! Silly boys.
Have a great day.

It's here!

Today is the first day of Spring! It actually looked like Spring today. We even had some nice days this week. I could take pictures of flowers every day!

I would like these all through my grass.

Or these.

The Littles had hair cuts on Saturday night. Bugs wasn't ready to go short yet. I think he will once it gets hot here.

Even T2 got a haircut and he shaved into a new style.

Today after dinner Princess decided the toy box made a better toy then the toys did. She had a blast!

PEEK!

What are you doing in there Sissy?

Storm Princess! Yes she and her Mama picked them all up.

Buster. He is THIS close to walking. He always smiles after the flash goes off. He is such a funny boy.
Heir had a football game today so he and Roommate didn't come to dinner. He played 2 games and they won both. He told me of course he played wonderful! LOL He's not proud. I hope you have a wonderful week and that you can see signs of Spring in your area.

Bugs is a dad!

Sorta of.....
Rescue Rita got Bugs a Butterfly and a Lady bug house/kit thing for Christmas. A few weeks ago we got his larva. If you know me at all you know how THRILLED I am at LARVA in my house. The caterpillar's come in a little cup deal with a paper lid in the regular lid and when they are all in cocoon's and hanging from the paper you take it out and hang it in the net house and wait while they do their thing! LOVELY! So we ended up with 6 caterpillars and 5 hatched out to Painted Lady Butterfly's. If it is 55' you can let them go. We of course do not have 55' weather yet. So we have to feed the lovely painted ladies. You can put either orange slices or sugar water soaked on a crumpled paper towel. We have done both. They eat often. Pretty little things.

Painted Ladies eating.

Please notice this is on my DINING ROOM TABLE! So we can all ENJOY it! Thank you Bugs.

Next to the butterfly house we have the Lady Bug Land. Which came with larva and have now hatched also. Again it's not 55' so they can't get let out on my roses yet. They eat 2 raisin's soaked in water then cut in half. They should last them a week. OH GOODIE!
Bugs has totally enjoyed this project. Just SO up his alley. I'm very glad for him but would really like it to be 55' so they can get let go.

I have all the power!

I love the power of the delete button!
It's only been in the last 6 years that I have gone digital. I have boxes and boxes, well 29 years worth of pictures. One thing I learned scrap booking was how to throw pictures away. No one wants to look at some one's huge butt or blurry pictures. I threw away so many one summer when I sorted through boxes and boxes of pictures.
What I love about digital is the power of the delete button. You don't have to keep ugly pictures! I have a friends son who almost ALWAYS does something stupid in my pictures. I love when I went digital I could say, Chris no one is going to ever see this picture I will just delete it. He stopped doing stupid stuff!
Here are some examples of what I'm not keeping from this round. Most of them are for the comedic relief.

The last 2 are bad timing! Funny, but not keeping them.
Have a great day! Take lots of pictures

A week!

I can't believe it's been a week since I have written. Ooooops.

This past Sunday we (we as in Dh and The Littles and I) went and met our friends Frank and Anita and their gang of guys at Great Wolf Lodge. It was FANTASTIC! We got a great deal on our room. It's very expensive for just a bed but as a destination place I thought it was good! Dh is scared of the water and he had a great time! He went down all the slides with his boys and me! We really had a great time. It was nice to go with another family too. Dh and Frank did the scary slides first to make sure it was safe for the rest of us. It was. :) Even baby Eli had fun. His favorite part was the hot tub! Well who doesn't love a hot tub.

This was when my kids figured out where we were going. It was a surprise. Then I told them we were just going to check out how much it was. We were in our room and they still didn't quite get it. They cracked us up!

That bucket holds a 1000 gallons of water. It is hilarious when it dumps.

Part of the Paulson clan

Frank, Monkey and Anita

Dh an me at dinner.

I have NO words for what Monkey is doing! NONE! We were doing a quest. It's a game thing. Not really worth the money for little guys, but Bugs was getting into it. LOTS of stairs involved!

Listening to the clock tower story.

Clock tower story

Howling wolf. Don't be afraid.

Monkey and Bugs ready to swim!

The Paulson's other wise known as Anita and her gang of guys!

As we were heading out!

I would love to go back. I want to take all our guys. I know the big boys would have a blast. Our DIL doesn't really know how to swim and isn't totally IN LOVE with water but I know she would have fun there too.
I saw hummingbirds today but I think that might be a tad bit of picture overload.

Hummer Day

We have had bi-polar weather the last 2 days. Wind, sun, BLACK clouds, rain and hail. Mix and repeat about 3 times. When the temperature has dropped sometimes it was as much as 10+ degrees. VERY weird but Winter/Spring-ish weather I'm sure.
Stay warm and dry!

It happened AGAIN!

I drive a little KIA. For years I have driven a LARGE van and have just recently started driving the KIA. I have enjoyed the WAY lower gas bill. The one thing I have had a hard time with is feeling like I'm sitting on the road. Something like a bug on the street. It was very hard to get used to.
One day a few weeks ago I was driving down the freeway and passed one of those "Smart Cars". I just busted out laughing! Who would have ever thought that I in my KIA would feel like I was BIG! Next to that little thing I was HUGE! It just cracked me up.
Today it happened again! It wasn't a Smart Car but some little thing and my itty bitty KIA looked HUGE! It cracked me up AGAIN!
Have a great day!
Peace
