New Years Eve

I started this blog a year ago. I'm proud that I have kept it up. I am actually a little surprised that I've had anything to say at all. I am thankful for each and everyone of you that has read and commented. It's nice to know you are there, even if it's all family.
I am hoping and praying that each and everyone of you get all of what you need, some of what you want in 2010. I remember I had such high hopes for 2009 and it didn't seem to work out that way. We have struggled but we are here and a new baby is joining our family any day. We are together (relatively speaking). We have much to be thankful for. So, Bring it on 2010 - Lets dance!

Boys are weird

Life marches on. It seems like Christmas just flew in and out in a flash! I'm loving the boys home though. Monkey is sleeping really weird though. He is up late and we are having to rock him to sleep. He needs his schedule back.
Monkey jumping off the couch. I was trying to catch him way up in the air.

like this. Bugs. We had fun doing these. We were laughing so hard.

This is the picture that poofed yesterday. Grandma and some boys.

Skater and his hat! So him! He was skating in the cold today in it.

Christmas picture post

One of my favorite holiday traditions is I bake all the sugar cookies and the boys decorate them. Only 1 rule, no double dipping. They love it as much as I do.

Sunday catch up

Well! We seem to have all made it through Christmas just fine. My parents came on Christmas day and were here in time for dinner. Roommate came for dinner. I know he likes the food but he really came for butterscotch pie. I made 8 pies this year. My dad is here so mincemeat was necessary and Dh had someone to help eat it. Then there was 2 pumpkin, blueberry, cherry, raspberry, apple and the butterscotch. There is still some left but not much.
Everyone got some nice things for Christmas. It doesn't take much to make little people happy. The tree still looks pretty.
Today is my Aunties birthday. She is 69. I hope she is having the best birthday! They are traveling and I hope the beaches are just what she needs to renew and restore her soul. There is just something about a sandy beach that does that.
We have had a great visit with my parents. We have done NOTHING. I know it's very hard for my dad to sit and not do much but it was to cold for any "honey do" list that I could have for my dad to work on. So sit and enjoy each other's company is what we have done. My Guys have got my dad to watch some movies they knew he would enjoy. I think mostly we have eaten and slept.
We are looking forward to the new year. I want to enjoy this last week of 2009 but am hopeful for what 2010 will be bringing us. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

Merry Christmas!

Pies are made. The Littles are sleeping. Monkey had to be rocked to sleep. I'm sure they are dreaming wonderful innocent boy dreams. Santa has come and we are headed to bed.
I wish everyone a wonderful Christmas day. Lord bless you and keep us far and near. Much love to everyone.

Chunky Rain

Thought soup.....

It's almost here!!!!!

The fudge is cut and put in the freezer.

I hope to mix sugar cookies in a bit.

I have had a *the tumor is shifting* headache for the better part of a week. Tonight Dh sat and brushed my hair for me for about 45 minutes and it really helped. That and the handful of Excedrin.

My cousin's baby had surgery this morning and he did great! That is such an answer to many prayers sent up around the country today. We are so thankful.

My DIL went to the doctor today and is progressing along just ducky. Baby Joel will be here before we know it! I can't wait! I need to smell his neck so bad! I have baby rabies!
Peace!

Sunday wrap up.

I hope everyone is moving a long nicely towards your holiday.
The ginger bread house was made by Monkey.( WW on Thursday) He was so excited. He has eaten most of it now. I just kinda gagged at the thought. LOL
Thursday night was Bug's 5th grade concert. He did so good. He had a speaking part and a solo and then was part of trio. He was so excited and nervous all at the same time. I actually was glad to find out he was nervous, he is NORMAL after all. :) That boy LOVES to sing. The choir teacher says when Bug's is famous he is going to say "I remember that boy ........!" Friday everyone was out of school until the new year. We are READY for a break.
We finished getting some decorations out and up. Not doing a lot but doing enough. It's starting to feel like Christmas. And you know it comes even if you don't want it to or aren't ready.
I have been running all week and my house was a pit. I have been home all day today and getting it cleaned and the laundry done. That feels like a million dollars to me. We really don't have TV. Just a few local stations, AND we get the Hallmark channel. If you ask I'll deny it but Dh and I have been watching it all day. At one point Dh's nephew called and a movie was about to end and he said I'll have to call you back and hung up so he wouldn't miss the ending. It was a tear-jerker and Dh clouded up. I hugged him and said it was ok. Big softy. I think my dad cried every time Little house on the Prairie was over. LOL
I got the fudge made today. I hope to do cookies tomorrow. Another one of my goals is to maybe wrap before Christmas Eve. I would do a little at a time if I didn't have to be taking it out and putting it back, if I had a room to leave it out in it would get done sooner/faster.
I hope you have a blessed week!
Peace

Picture dump

Sorry for the massive picture post but several days of activities warrant it.
Here is Miss Goldie that has been visiting us. Dh followed her home and found where she lives. She does have a home but we aren't sure if they know she is going to IHOP for breakfast every day. I wanted you to see how much bigger our Walker is then she is.

She flinches every time the flash goes off.

Auntie look how red she is. She reminds me of CC but she does not have CC's sweet face.

Bugs and Goldie - no we don't know her real name

Breakfast at Ihop

Now on to Saturday
T2 and our tree - NOT!

My guys that live here plus one friend. Can you pick which one is the friend?

Bugs and Monkey telling T2 how to do it.

The committee

TADA!

This morning we woke up and it started snowing! The Littles were so excited. However we can only find ONE of Monkey's boots. How do you loose 1 boot in a house this size?

This evening Heir apparent came for dinner and then we decorated the tree. Our tradition is that I sit and pull the ornaments out one by one and remember and everyone else puts them on the tree. Dh puts on some specific ones for me and the job gets done.

It was hard work setting the tree into the stand.

Dh puts the star on.

Skater boy doing lights. He has the most patience of any one I know. He will sit and untangle and do a beautiful job.

Isn't it beautiful. There is a new ornament on there can you spot it?

Here it is! My friend Paula got this for me at the Victorian Christmas thingy we went to. I was floored to find something with 6 kids. You just don't normally. It was a wonderful feeling.

The other side.
Every year I can I get a new piece to my Nativity. It's a Fontanini. It's up on the entertainment center because I have 2 naughty dogs who if they chew one tiny foot of anything up there I will KILL them. We still find super hero's with no hands or feet. So to protect all small dogs it's up high again. I love it.

This goat is what I got new this year. I think he has the sweetest face.

Thank you everyone for your kind words about our fire. I really appreciate it. I never blamed you mom, never not one moment. Things happen. Now Dad and Bryant and the tractor ........ :)
Have a blessed week!
Peace
