Happy Halloween

This is my bouquet of flowers I got from Pike Place Market. I love them! I could get one of these every week.

Daddy starting the pumpkins. This one had the thickest skin of any EVER!

Monkey and his jack o lantern

Bugs and his. They really had a good time doing them.

Before we had a street full of kids Dh needed to do some leaf maintenance. I have already slipped on wet leaves and fell up our porch. UP the stairs. Who does that? ME!

T2 helping daddy get the blower/vac set up.

T2 trying to vacuum me up.

Watching his dad work.

He really was having fun.

Daddy's little helper. The blower is as big as him.

Emptying the bag.

Monkey was having so much fun! You know if we had asked him to do it he wouldn't have wanted to and it wouldn't have been as much fun.

Look Mom!

For our Sunday dinner we had Mummy Dogs. It was funny. Everyone was here and we had pigs in a blanket, chili and fries. Everyone ate!

Some of the gang.

Skater - not enough chairs at the table.

Monkey as Shadow Ninja

Bugs as Snake Eyes

Ninja boys.

The pumpkins all lite up!
My friend got a positive cancer diagnosis. Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She finds out a treatment plan this next week. I'm so sad for her.
My other friends husbands cancer is back after 5 years. I hate this for everyone involved.
Have a blessed week.

Super Saturday

Dh's mom is here. She came for his party and is staying for a bit. She will be 94 in December. She has spent her entire life between Spokane and Colfax (and the surrounding area). She has been to Chewelah and Dh took her to Vancouver once. She thinks we live on the other side of the world! We took her to Seattle today to Pike Place Market. I LOVE going there. She seemed to like it but all the walking wore her out I think. It was BEAUTIFUL - yesterday! It rained on us! We had fun anyways.

Off the elevator from the parking garage heading in.

In the Polish Pottery Store. I love the beautiful things in this store.

Just some of the oddities of Pike Place.

A man playing the piano outside in the rain.

I love watching people come and pick and choose the perfect bouquet for them. I of course brought one home too.

I don't always "get" the color choices.

The bird was outside Red Robin on the wharf. It was watching in the window as we ate. I was hoping we could sit outside and eat, it was pouring!

Headed out to look at a few more shops.

Dh and his mom.

Sylvester the Mummy

Sylvia the Mummy

This is how gross it was outside, the clouds weren't even above the buildings most of the day!

Gladys on the Seattle Carousel. She said she hadn't been on one since her big kids were very small, Dh thought today was a good day to do one again. She LOVED it!

The Space Needle as we drove by. I was sitting at a light when I took this. I think that is as clear as the sky ever got today. Just gross Fall weather.
I hope you have a great Sunday.

Dexter

His name is Dexter. I think the name says it all.
I was emptying out the bathroom so I could clean it. I rolled the hamper into the bedroom and it kind of broke apart. I was holding it with my hands and putting it back together with my foot. Out of the corner of my eye I caught a grey something or other FLYING through the air and it landed ON MY HEAD! He had jumped from the middle of a king size bed! There was a CAT on my head! I put my hand between me and him and flung him back on the bed. He twitched at me and I pointed my finger towards the door and said GET OUT. He stomped off. But boy oh boy had I ticked him off. He spent the whole day following me around and attacking the vacuum cleaner like he was all kinds of brave! Every time I turned the vacuum on he was there when I was pulling it he was stalking it and hitting at it. When I was pushing it he was jumping backwards from it. I was laughing so hard! One time I had the handle off and was using the hand part to vacuum the stairs. The handle was laying on the floor and I glanced back and he was attacking the handle. I slowly moved my foot to the handle and then I shoved it at him with my foot. He launched himself 4 feet in the air and 3 feet backwards! I was laughing so hard I was crying! It was a good day at work!

He doesn't even look innocent does he! His name is Dexter - it fits him. I'm glad he doesn't live at my house!
