Happy Birthday Drummer Boy

Yesterday we had our second son turn 25. TWENTY FIVE! We are shocked. 2 children a quarter of a century old? Goodness! Dh and I both called him and talked to him. It's hard not having them here on special days. We feel it every day but REALLY feel it on the special ones. I hope they get to come for a visit soon. If they don't we will have to go to them. We need a baby fix.
Brand new Drummer Boy
He was the original Skater Boy but he moved on to drumming.
Broken foot. No it didn't stop him from skating.

Happy Birthday Baby Boy. We love you! May you have a wonderful year. The best is yet to be.

Dog sitting

We are puppy sitting. Her name is Pritzie. She is in Scout's hideyhouse. That is not good. Scout is a good sport though. If Scout is in my lap Pritzie can lay in her house. Bolt and Scout wrestle every day all day. Pritzie would like to play with them but she isn't sure how. They are nice to her though. They get along just fine. She HATE'S Walker though. She screams when he sniffs her. There is GINORMOUS dog at her house so I know it's not his size. She's just a chicken.

Today was a great hummingbird day! Not picture wise but I saw them often! It is very stormy here so every time the wind died down they were at the feeder. It was really cool.
I just love this picture. I like that you can't see all of her but you can in the refection in the feeder.

Picture if you will....

When I am cleaning house I move with a purpose. Not racing but certainly not poking along but with purpose! So I grab the vacuum ( A HEAVY ONE) and as I am spinning it around to be able to push it easily (in the other hand is a spray bottle and a hardwood floor mop) I take a step and I am spinning the vacuum I trip over my own foot and the vacuum. Do you remember the Million Dollar man music when he was doing a huge something and he moved in slow motion? That was the sound I could hear in my head as I went. There was a teenager in a chair watching me and as I went down HARD on part of the vacuum and my hands and knees. I put my forehead on the ground and started to laugh. It was either that or cry. I looked up at M and she said "that happened in slow motion"! I said it was in slow motion to me too! I should be nice and stiff tomorrow. My shoulder and neck are tight tonight. I made sure to go to Curves tonight so it should help keep things loose. I made my 600Th workout tonight. I can only imagine how I would look if I didn't go to Curves. If nothing else it helps keep me where I am at and keeps me moving. I love the women there.
Not a great hummingbird day. Not because they weren't there but because I couldn't get a good picture.
Can you see her hiding?
She was so pretty but it's blurry
Still blurry but I just couldn't delete it.

Easter Weekend

We had Anita and the kids for 3 days. I love it when she comes. We have so much fun together. I love her boys. They are fun and they love my house and The Littles. We had plans we were going to do but the weather SUCKED big time so we went no where fun! Well Anita and I had pedicures but that was the extent of it. But we had a great visit nonetheless. I made Amish Friendship bread and sent some with Anita and we kept some. I just made all the starter into bread. I know how to make the starter so it works for me. My family LOVES sweet bread and this is one of their faves.

I am having such fun trying to get good pictures of these guys. I REALLY want a GREAT camera but I have to make do with what I have.

This one needs to be on Biggest Looser

How deep

I have a lot in my head but I do not know how to get my thoughts on the page so they make sense. So...... I love Easter. I love the work that Christ did for me and you on the cross. I hope I am never not moved to tears and joy at what the Lord did for me.
This song is on a CD I have. I love it. Actually I love the whole CD but this one has really been running through my brain this week. It is Selah - You Deliver Me. This is the song.

HOW DEEP THE FATHER'S LOVE

How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He would give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure

How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the chosen One
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the Man upon a cross
My guilt upon His shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers

It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no powr's, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection

Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

I hope you have a great day!

NW

Bugs has had a friend since birth. NW is May to Sept. older then Bugs. We used to all go to church together then they moved away. They moved back to the area and the boys STILL love to hang out. NW has the same unbridled joy about critters as Bugs does. Sicko's! Yesterday NW came over and spent the day with us. They were REALLY wanting to go hunting but we are having bipolar weather so it was going to be hit and miss at best.
They finally got to go to the pond and they found some things but not the PRIZE. So I told Bugs to go dig under the leaf pile that was still on the flower bed and they hit the MOTHER LOAD!
2 salamanders and a frog! They had fun playing with them. We took NW to dinner with us for T2's dinner and then came and got the critters and took him home. He got to have the sally's and the frog and a huge bucket of frog eggs to take to his house. I wish you could have seen his mother's VERY excited face - NOT - at the prospect of them at HER house. I told her our rule is to keep the critter's over night and then let them go the next day. She thought that was a wonderful idea! LOL I'll leave that up to them. Bug's had a really hard time letting them go with him. He's not used to sharing his critter's with anyone. They had so much fun though.

Bug's talking with his buddy.

NW and his catch.

Buddy's with their friends.

NW is excited about the salamanders. I REALLY wish I had gotten his mother's face.
