Cast of Characters - Bugs

On Tuesday mornings Bugs goes to choir practice. He had his music out and was practicing before it was time to go. Now this kid has a very sweet true voice. He sings all the time and does so very well. He was sitting on the couch singing in a very gravely rough voice "What a Wonderful World". It was very funny and very sweet at the same time. It actually wasn't a bad rendition of it. Bugs came after 8 years of no babies and he is such a joy. He is loud and lovable. He LOVES LOVES LOVES BUGS! If he doesn't grow up to be an Entomologist I will be SHOCKED! He is also one of the most sensitive kids I've ever met. I'm not sure he has a mean bone in him. Well his brother's might say something different. Our neighbors all know who Bugs is, he will walk down to the pond singing very loud to catch a frog or some other critter to bring home for the day. He thinks my parents live the good life because they have cool bugs and grasshoppers at their house. I thought he might turn himself inside out in Tennessee this summer because of the whole plethora of NEW bugs there! We almost had to search his bags to make sure he wasn't bringing any home. When we went to Louisiana a few summers ago I thought he might die from the shock of the gecko's all over the walls and critters there. He was kind of wigged out by the alligators and snakes though. Even he has his limits! He did try to bring gecko's home then and we told him they would explode if he took them on the plane. :-) So he and Thing 1 let them all go on his patio so they wouldn't blow up.
Do you think it's a good idea to eat popcorn while you watch The Biggest Looser? Peace.

  1. He is such a sweet kid! I want Riley to be able to sing, but...my old choir director said he sang fine, but after 4000 times of hearing him sing offkey to the chipmunks greatest hits, all I can do is laugh, at this point he thinks I'm laughing with him, and I don't want to crush his confidence, but he sounds very peter bradyish. Would the geckos really explode?

  2. Tina, No but we didn't want him to bring them home and we would have been the ones kicked off a plane in Timbuktu for contraband on the airlines. Soooo we lied and he believed us and he didn't want them to blow up so there was no fight. LOL You don't think that ruins my chance of Mother of the Year do you?

  3. I think eating pop corn during BL is fine, eating a bug would be heathier :)

  5. You all have me laughing. Poor Buggy. He loves bugs so much. When he is here we rarely see him but can find him somewhere with a container with a lid and a net. I remember him singing Born in the USA all the way through when he was what 4 maybe. He is so smart. He has entertained us alot.

  7. That is the song I meant. I still think about him sitting in the backseat of our car and singing it on the way someplace.
